However, we are delighted to announce that there is a very cool FREE NFT exclusively for our community for a limited time only, kindly provided by the star of this month. Let’s get it!

MAKER Review (MR) Intro: Greetings! It's a great pleasure to have feature NIDO for our MAKER Review of May 2022 . Welcome, and thank you for meeting with us! As ever, we’ll start off the big question;
MR Q1: Can you tell us why you chose Cardano? What is it about this blockchain that convinced you it was the place to launch your NFT project?
NIDO (N): I started my NFTjourney on Ethereum last October, but quickly understood that my walletcouldn’t handle the transaction fees. I had already invested in $ADA fromFebruary that year after researching what crypto project I found the mostpromising (and watched all the Charles videos), so when I found NMKR inDecember and connected to the amazing community, I knew this was the right pathto take.
MR Q2: How big is your team and what are the key roles? Do you have in-house artists/designers?
N: The NIDO team consists of me. I manage music production, marketing, project management and collaborations. I commission artists to do my artwork.
MR Q3: Wow, you are brave! It can’t be easy taking all of that on your own! Do you plan to expand the team?
N: Not brave, but busy haha! I’ve thought about hiring some marketing help and got an offer, but if I do though I feel like I’m losing the connection I got with the community I interact with each day. The interactions with the community and projects is what keeps me creative! If at some point though, the requests for collaborations and project work becomes overwhelming, I’ll be on the lookout for some assistance.

MR Q4: So you said you heard about NMKR Studio in December for thefirst time. What were the reasons that attracted you to the platform?
N: I got tips and helpfrom a fellow musician in the community (FlatDarkEarther) to set things upinitially for my first mint. Back then it was the only platform I knew of Icould use to mint on Cardano, but I've kept using it because it’s easy to useand the team is stellar! They're very helpful and reliable at all times. Thathas been the most important aspect for me staying with your platform.
MR: Thank you! We’re very proudto keep hearing from projects that our support team is truly out of this world. MR Q5: So, you’ve chosen NMKR Studio, fantastic! Please explain what yourNFT project is all about! What are the utility, rarities and the USPs? We knowour readers would love to know from the people who created it!
N: I’m a music producerand make my own style of music, a mix between synthwave and EDM, I call itNidowave! My “project” is to make music of what inspires me, and in this spaceit’s all the NFT projects on Cardano. My latest is the Disco Solaris project, which sparked a EP with music inspired from that theme and community. They alsoinspired an art NFT collection I recently released called “Moonwalkers c9460”,which are based on character lore from that universe. This was actually thefirst time I introduced rarities to any of my releases.

There’s a lot of focus on utility with NFTs and I get that. But from my point of view, my music IS the utility. Although, like with my Moonwalkers, holders will receive a free airdrop of the title track of my upcoming EP. The intention is not to add utility, but to try something fun and engaging with my music without adding a promise of use or value later.
MR Q6: That is definitely a first! Well done for the originality. Perhaps we might hear an NMKR inspired track one day?
N: Thank you! It wouldn’t surprise me if we did! It’s been on my mind a couple of times, but never managed to get the right feel on the melodies yet. Though this question set something in motion now. UPDATE: The song is actually ready to be minted now on your platform! Haha!I managed to sample some of Patricks sentences in interviews and used those in the song. So it’s really a NMKR song!

MR: BOOM!! How about that readers?! An exclusive NIDO x NMKR Music NFT created just for our awesome community!! It's completely FREE!!!! (Note:You must send 2 ADA, and that will be returned to you with the NFT minus network fees). More on that drop later…
MR Q7: Tell us about your experiences in using NMKR Studio. What was the platform like to work with in practice? Did you have any challenges when building the framework?
N: My experience with NMKR?Well, for my use it was a light learning curve. I learned to set up the meta data and projects by spamming the support chat and trying myself. But with all the added functionality lately it is fun to research and try them. Overall NMKR is very easy to use and easy to learn, for an inexperienced person like myself. You can say I’m a fast learner, but most of the credit goes to the UI and easy functions. My only challenge was to figure out how I wanted to set up my releases in regards to policyIDs and marketplace listings.
Q8: Interesting approach! Which front functions and back-end infrastructure for dealing with customer payments did you implement and why?
N: I’ve only used the payment gateway on my website. It was the easiest for me and served its purpose well.
Q9: Can you articulate how you formulated the user interface and experience of your website and why you decided on this final design and functionality?
N: My website www.officialnido.comhad one purpose at the beginning, and that was a place to mint. After seeing all the discords and addresses provided everywhere I wanted my supporters to have a “safe” solution to mint. After a while, the design has become more in focus to match my style and evolved to act as a intuitive travel through my releases with some background story, and still be the only place people can mint “safely” through your gateway..
MR: Yes we do like that! It’s nice to get a feeling of where the inspiration comes from.

MR Q10: How do you feel about your launch? Is there anything you would do differently next time?
N: I feel pretty good about my latest release! It went really smooth with no errors and people got their NFTs after a minute.
MR: Ahh…that payment gateway. We do LOVE IT, and LOVE that you use it!
MR Q11: What’s next for your project? How do you envision the evolution of your NFTs?
T: Next is to just keep making music the way I do as It seems to be something people like. Though I’m considering doing more NFTs with my music to it going forward. As I said earlier, my music is the utility, but I love to entertain so I’ll add different aspects around the music.
MR Q12: Any final words of advice for the readers who may be planning their own NFT launch?
T: If you are a first user, don’t be overwhelmed by the dashboard. Read through the knowledge Hub first so you get the idea of what to come. Recommend watching the NMKR tutorials on youtube. I’ve also made my own tutorials on how to mint if you are an artist. There I go through how to mint your first song, but it’s applicable on a larger scale too.
